Meditation helps us to gently wash away all the stresses and anxieties of every day life. It is about learning who we truly are at the deepest level, it helps us to connect to our soul, by calming the chatter. It is also simply about being and experiencing the moment for exactly what it is.
Often people try it and then give up after a few times, because they do not feel the transformative effects instantaneously. They either think they are doing it wrong or that it simply doesn’t work. But like any other art form, it takes practice and patience.
Meditation comes in many different shapes and sizes, there is no ‘one size fits all’, and there is also no right or wrong way to practice. It is best to experiment with different methods when first starting out and if one way doesn’t feel right for you initially, then you can try another method next time. It is always best to start simply. There are no rules and there is no need to make your practice regimented. Have fun with it and treat your meditative space as your sanctuary, because that is exactly what it is.
“Meditation is not about stopping thought .. it is about finding the incredible soul that resides underneath those thoughts”
Meditation is not about escapism, rather it is a reflective tool. It is designed to take you on an introspective journey and to discover the peace that resides in each and every one of us. Meditation allows you to tap in to this incredible source. It is an exploration of all that you are, and of the quiet wisdom that exists within this pure space.
The more you practice, the more you begin to understand about your energy and the beautiful multi dimensional being that you are. This connectedness to your self eventually spills out in to your daily activities. Meditation gives you a beautiful balance and grounds you into your experiences. It allows you to paint your world in peaceful colours.
